“An unexamined life is not worth living.” - Socrates

Children are born curious and my passion is to keep that ignited. Building confidence and inspiring learning through play, exploration and discovery are integral components of my programmes. Every child is different and working one to one enables me to create bespoke, flexible and responsive courses to suit their needs.

All subjects are integrated to encourage children to find the poetry in science and the science in art. Rome provides an ideal setting to study history, literature, geography, the sciences, art, philosophy and anthropology. My students are constantly surprised and intrigued by how seemingly disparate topics are closely related: the Roman forum provides the perfect backdrop for a chemistry class on the molecular structure of roman concrete: for younger children maths is brought alive on geometry walks exploring the streets looking for and naming polygons, and what better place to learn counting in roman numerals. Looking at pigments use by renaissance painters can lead to a class on geology or chemistry. A a physics class on forces is brought to life at the hands on Leonardo da Vinci museum just a ten minute walk from my apartment.

Students enjoy home-cooked meals, a wide variety of educational and entertaining games, an extensive library, Wi-Fi and music. They have full use of the enchanting flat in a converted 16th Century house, and from their pretty mezzanine bedroom they have a view over the river Tiber.
